We are proud to share an important recognition for the Torre delle Stelle destination marketing project. Torre delle Stelle Magazine has recently been featured by MarketingSherpa in an international article exploring marketing strategies within the tourism and hospitality industry.
The article, titled “Tourism & Hospitality Marketing: 4 ways to sell the experience before the guest arrives”, examines real world examples of organisations developing different ways to communicate destinations and build trust with visitors before they even arrive.
Among the examples selected by MarketingSherpa is Torre delle Stelle Magazine, presented as a case of using a high quality printed publication to elevate a small and highly seasonal tourism destination.
For us, this recognition is particularly meaningful because the Magazine represents one of the most visible elements of a much broader project.
The destination marketing initiative developed by Torre delle Stelle Ventures was created with the objective of building a strong, consistent and recognizable identity for Torre delle Stelle, connecting the territory with its community, businesses, services, residents and visitors.
At the heart of this vision is an omnichannel communication strategy where physical and digital tools work together to communicate the destination through multiple touchpoints.
Torre delle Stelle Magazine represents the physical and editorial component of this ecosystem. Alongside the Magazine, the strategy includes the official Torre delle Stelle website, social media channels, continuous digital content production, the organisation and promotion of events, and a growing number of community initiatives.
The objective, therefore, is not simply to publish a magazine once a year. It is to create an interconnected communication system where every channel contributes to telling the story of the same destination from a different perspective.
The Magazine physically reaches homes, villas, accommodation providers and businesses across the area. The website allows visitors to explore information, services and events in greater depth. Social media creates an ongoing conversation and communicates Torre delle Stelle through images, videos and stories. Events and community initiatives then transform communication into a real experience, creating opportunities for residents, visitors, professionals and local businesses to meet and connect.
It is the integration of these different elements that represents one of the fundamental aspects of the project.
MarketingSherpa focuses particularly on the ability of a printed publication to become a trusted physical object that helps people better understand a destination. Through the words of Nathalie De Clercq, the article explores some of the results achieved by Torre delle Stelle Magazine and the work behind its production.
The first edition had a print run of 2,000 copies. Following its positive reception, the second edition increased to 5,000 copies. The publication involves different professional skills, including design, marketing, writing and photography, brought together through a project that requires several months of preparation.
An important principle behind the Magazine has always been to represent the destination as a whole. Local businesses are included free of charge, while companies seeking greater visibility can purchase dedicated advertising space. This model has enabled the Magazine to reach break even through advertising while maintaining its primary purpose as a destination marketing tool.
Print is also designed to connect directly with the digital ecosystem. QR codes throughout the Magazine allow readers to move from the physical publication to businesses, services, bookings and additional information, creating a direct connection between the printed experience and the online world.
One of the most significant results highlighted by MarketingSherpa concerns the businesses featured in the publication. According to Nathalie De Clercq, local businesses and service providers have reported receiving enquiries and bookings from people who first discovered them through the Magazine.
For Torre delle Stelle Ventures, being selected by a specialised marketing publication such as MarketingSherpa therefore represents much more than a media mention.
It is recognition of the direction behind the project and of the idea that even a relatively small destination can build a distinctive identity through a structured, continuous communication strategy that connects multiple channels.
Our objective remains the same as when the project began: to tell the story of Torre delle Stelle, support its businesses, strengthen its community and contribute to transforming a place traditionally associated with the summer season into a destination with an increasingly strong and recognizable identity.
The Magazine is an important part of that journey, but it is the combination of different channels, people, events and initiatives that gives the project its true dimension.
Seeing this experience now featured in an international marketing publication makes us proud and encourages us to continue investing in the growth, positioning and communication of Torre delle Stelle.
